Best Budget Gaming PC Build Under $500 or $600
CybertronPC Borg-Q (Blue) TGM4213A Gaming PC (3.8 GHz AMD FX-4130 Quad Core, 1GB GeForce GT610, 8GB DDR3 1600MHz, 1TB HDD, Windows 8.1 64-bit)
This Borg-Q may very well be one of the best pre-built gaming PC's for the price. You get an awesome quad core processor, 8GB of RAM, 1TB Hard Drive, windows, and even a GeForce GT610. This is a pretty dang good setup but I feel the graphics card is severely under powered and you may wish to upgrade it immediately.
One card you may want to go with is the GeForce GTX 960. This GPU does an amazing job for the cost. You should have no issues playing your pc games in decent settings. Of course the GTX 960 will add an additional $200 to the over all build price. The problem is that most of these store bought gaming pc's do not come with graphics cards even close to that powerful.
During my search I did find a few custom builds that seemed to live up to my expectations. You have to realize that for a gaming computer you mainly are worried about the graphics card. Faster ram, cpu, hdd don't contribute nearly as much to your overall frames per second. FPS. One must wonder if it is better to build your own gaming pc under $500.
If you are looking to get into some serious gaming with today's current demands then you will need to probably build your own PC to get maximum performance. It is kind of like with name brand shoes. You're spending a lot of money on the name and not on quality.
Another thing to think about is that Intel is widely accepted as the better CPU brand for gaming purposes. SO if you decide to build your own PC, which is what I would do, then I'd probably go with an intel i3 or better. You can still do the same with the ram and HDD as with the Borg-Q mentioned above but then I am going to be looking for a better graphics card like in this build I found: Gaming PC for Under $600 Read more.
They used the R9 380 256-bit 4GB Graphics card which is pretty comparable to a GTX 960 and with that PC you are going to be much better off then with a store bought cheap gaming pc. With modern games you should be able to see a constant 40-60 FPS on 1080p so sweat with a machine like that.
Lastly if you want the best gaming pc for under $500 or $600 then you will want to build your own. But if you want a decent gaming machine and don't want the hassle of putting it all together your self then i'd recommend just picking up a computer like the CybertronPC Borg-Q TGM4213A.
