$500 Gaming PC - CybertronPC Patriot (Red) TGM1293H
The CybertronPC Patriot TGM1293H comes with an AMD A4 Dual Core processor. Onboard Radeon 7480D Integrated Graphics, 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM, 1Tb Hard Drive, and Windows 10 64-bit. This PC will be able to do some light gaming out of the box but will likely struggle with most modern games today. At first glance you will want to buy a dedicated GPU to help out with this issue. I think a good option would be the EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti SC 2GB GDDR5 graphics card because it does not require any external power but if you want to save money the GTX 740 could also work, but you will see less performance out of it. The rest of the machine should fare well and make you a pretty good gaming computer for under $500.
I think, as-is, the machine can handle lower demanding games such as Dota 2 or Minecraft as is so another option would be to pick up this computer and then to upgrade it down the road. The only problem with buying an off the shelf PC is they tend to not always use the greatest parts in the build. The best option to combat this would be to build your own PC.
Building a computer seems like a daunting task to many new comers but it doesn't have to be. You can buy all your parts from Amazon or Newegg very reasonably. This allows you to vet each and every part to insure the use of all the highest quality pieces. You can use resources from websites and youtube videos to help you learn how the process is done. Once you see others doing it you will realize how it is possible for anyone to figure out.
At the budget range we are at here you can actually build a much better PC then the TGM1293H. You should be able to put a machine together that has similar specs but with a faster CPU, faster RAM, better Power Supply and way more powerful graphics due to a dedicated video card such as a R9 380 or GTX 960. With this said it would be advised to do it your self to get the best gaming PC under $500.
With a gaming PC like that you would be able to run all the current AAA titles on great settings. 60FPS at 1080P sound pretty good? Farcry, The Witcher and Star Wars Battlefront won't hang you up at all and you would be able to still run all the lower end games so easily. Whatever you decide to do, whether it is to build or to buy off the shelf will be fine. Just figure out what is best for your needs.
